We are delighted to welcome you to the 3rd International Conference on Cytokine Medicine at the Conference Centre at Kensington Town Hall, London.

The previous conferences, held in 2003 and 2005 in Manchester, established a highly distinctive forum to bring together all clinical and scientific disciplines involved in this exciting, rapidly-expanding field. These conferences enabled professionals from a range of backgrounds to meet, share knowledge and experience and develop new approaches, partners and collaborators to take their work forward. They were the first conferences which aimed to bring together the increasing number of different clinical specialties with active interests in cytokine medicines and this extremely popular feature remains a core characteristic of the 2008 conference. The conference will again address a wide range of issues concerning the increasing use of cytokine medicines in healthcare, including recent scientific advances in cytokine biology and related aspects of bioscience. The programme will review recent data from clinical trials in different diseases as well as explore key issues in effective delivery and monitoring of cytokine medicines in clinical practice. The programme will conclude with horizon scanning to anticipate and highlight future innovations within this field.

The Scientific Programme Committee has planned a conference which is not only of high quality but which also provides delegates with very novel perspectives on the topic of Cytokine Medicine. We hope very much that you will enjoy the conference’s new setting at Kensington Town Hall and that you find the presentations and discussions both informative and exciting.

Yours sincerely,
